A Whole Lot Of Oranges…

Posted on 22 March 2014 by robertflournoy

It was an exciting day at the Great Park picking oranges off the many trees that were

out there. We had six roles of orange trees to pick Saturday morning for Giving Children

Hope “We’ve Got Your Back program,Saddleback Church Food Pantry and the presidents

community door to door distribution in Santa Ana.

Volunteers distributing food door to door in Santa Ana did a great job walking the

streets. City Councilman David Benavides joined the group this weekend and helped

to pass out groceries and also pray for anyone who wanted it and there were many.

Today was another great day at the park but in Santa Ana we were doing what we are called to

do..feed the poor spiritually and physically.

Check out today’s video at the Great park…

We want to continue to thank all the volunteers that come out to support the community.

We couldn’t do what we do without you.

Check out our Feeding Orange County “FUND RAISER”

Saturday 8th Was Another Great Day Gleaning..

Volunteers started to arrive at 8:45 am Saturday morning ready to

glean cabbage donated by AG Kawamura owner of Orange County

Produce. Trucks pulled in ready to take back the produce to  their

Food Banks.

As always volunteers come in different ages and sizes but with the

same spirit to help glean produce.

Some of the cabbage gleaned was donated to the Orange County

Bar Foundation event that Saturday.

The day ended with the President and his wife Joy donating a bike to one of their

fighting hunger partners Giving Children Hope.
