After 5 weeks of cucumber donations Manassero Farms is plowing down his field on the Edison
property next to Irvine Valley College but in one week he will be donating them again from a field
he planted down the street. We had a very good run of donations from this field that helped many
Food Banks and Food Pantries from as far as L.A County…
Heart Of Compassion picked up every week no less than 6 Gaylords…
Heart Of Compassion 6 Gaylords or almost 6,000 lbs…
The Santa Ana Food Bank picked up 4 Gaylords or almost 4,000 lbs
Daily donations still continue to come in from Manassero for Food Pantries…
Including delicious Strawberries…
We are getting ready for our next gleaning project coming up this Saturday with Second Harvest,
Saddleback Church Food Pantry and Families Forward so stay tune for our post of pictures and
videos. If you would like to volunteer you can do so by down loading our waiver from this link
https://loavesandfishesx10.com/?page_id=24 and bring it with you signed and ready to take
part in what is becoming an exciting move here in Orange County California.

Hi Rob-
I have lots of student-athletes in every sport who are interested in contributing to our community through your ministry. I’d be glad to talk about how I can coordinate a group on your behalf throughout the year.
Let’s talk,

Chrissy Olivia a young talented Artist has blessed L&F x10 with a painting she did of a gleaner from
last Saturday’s project at the Great Park.
Chrissy who is becoming a supporter of the ministry by coming out to the projects was gleaning
when the President was taking pictures of the volunteers. The President took a picture of her
and then casually said to her (Chrissy) you should take the picture and paint yourself gleaning
green beans because he thought it would be an interesting piece for her to do.
Well tonight Chrissy surprised us by posting the picture on Face Book of a little girl she had seen
gleaning last Saturday and plans to bring it to our next gleaning project and presenting it to the
the President.
We have to say that this is a surprise and a blessing to have an Artist like Chrissy paint
something we are passionate about.
Thank you Chrissy for your time and effort you put in this painting we will always cherish it
because we know it came from your heart and it is about what we are about and that is feeding
the Community.

Another day in the Sun having fun gleaning at the Great Park. Volunteers showed up at 8:45 am
with excitement and many for the first time. Second Harvest,Boys and Girl Scouts and Families
Forward came out to participate in what is becoming a great opportunity to support the low income
families in Orange County. AG Kawamura of the Orange County Produce who’s Farm we gleaned came
out and gave us a small orientation and then lead us the area to glean.
Guess you can say they are enjoying themselves…
We here
We always enjoy seeing children this age come out and glean…
To watch them in the fields participating is really something to see in person..
We always finish the day hoping everyone had a good time and are willing to come back again. We
can’t do what we do without volunteers coming out and spending 2 hours of their time and
because of that we thank them very much. If you would like to participate you can contact us
at gleaningfarmland@gmail.com. We always post our events so keep watch as we continue to
glean this Summer.
VOLUNTEER… Waivers can be found under Supported Ministries on the Home Page.

This is the first one we helped with to feed the Community this year the second one to follow..
This is our second year Donating to State Senator Lou Correa Family Fitness Event which is aimed at
Healthy eating and Fitness. Last year was a success and this year wasn’t any different with families
coming out to enjoy the day of activites and fresh Healthy produce…
Produce was Fork lifted from a Santa Ana Warehouse the day before the event…
Around 300 people attended the event in Westmister and the fresh produce was a Blessing to them
There was Watermelon eating contest the Senator was involved in..
We were able to procure 5 pallets of produce for this event including 10 crates of corn from
Dan Manassero of The Original Manassero Farms which was used to put on the grill…
We are presently working on getting Donations for The Senator August Family Fitness Day…
|
So come out and be a part of this event and enjoy the fresh produce and Healthy snacks.

The day was nice and set for today’s gleaning project at the Great Park on AG Kawamura Orange
County Produce Farm. We came together as one to help stomp out Hunger in Orange County by
partnering in one mind and action. Vonlunteers that come out have one thing in mind and that is
to see that they make a difference in someone life and they do from the first pick to the last.
Bank Of Americana came out today to glean for Second Harvest or “Feeding America” Food Bank
while volunters from Saddleback Church came out to support there Churches Food Pantry.
Bank Of America volunteers...
We will post how many pounds Second Harvest received from the gleaning project later as the number
comes in.
Everyone enjoyed themselves and had a good time gleaning Squash including this B of A volunteer.
Chrissy who is turning out to be a great volunteer shows us her bright smile as she gleans…
Monica from Irvine Valley College has been a real trooper and has helped to support the community..
Brian who is a mean green gleaning machine is always ready to get it done…
Saddleback volunteers gleaned 800 lbs of Squash for there Food Pantry…
We had around 30 volunteers come out on a Saturday to take feeding to another level and we
appreciate them coming out and showing there love and concerns for the community.
Today’s gleaning Video…
On another note Dan Manassero of ‘The Original Manassero Farms’ Donated 100 crates of cucumbers
which went to a Santa Ana Food Bank. We have been blessed once again from Dan and his generosity.
We have averaged over 300 crates a week from his fields.
Today’s Donations of 100 crates or 7 Gaylords…
Three Gaylords and 5 pallets inside the Santa Ana Warehouse…
As always we look forward to working with Manassero and AG Kawamura in the fight against Hunger
in Orange County California.
